The Lord's Pantry
With the economic woes our nation is undergoing, there is a greater need to serve those that are without the basics.
The Lord’s Pantry is currently active and maintains a ready supply of food and clothes items and has access to other items as needed. If you are in need or know someone who is in need please call us at 304-242-3162 and let us know so that we can do our best to help you or find the assistance that you need.
The Lord’s Pantry currently distributes food on the 4th Friday of each month to those in need living in Marshall and Ohio counties, West Virginia (In November and December we distribute on the 3rd Friday).
If you are in need please make sure to bring an ID and any relevant financial documents.
If you would like to volunteer, we are always seeking assistance. Please call the church at 304-242-3162 for more info.
If you can't come out to help pack food for the recipients, please feel free to make a financial donation. Checks may be made payable to Mt. Olivet UMC. Please write Pantry in the memo line or you may make an on line contribution here:
All donations are tax deductible.
Wheeling Health Right
Mount Olivet provides support for Wheeling Health Right in any way that it can. In the past Mount Olivet has assisted in collecting needed items from the congregation that Wheeling Health Right distributes to its clients.
Today, Wheeling Health Right cares for 11,225 area residents. The clinic is on line to fill more than 90,000 prescriptions and provided 35,000 patient visits in 2,000. The clinic staff has been privileged to serve our patients during the last fifteen years, and many of them have been with us for the entire fifteen years. Societal and economical conditions have combined to bring more patients to Wheeling Health Right’s door.
Wheeling Health Right is truly a community clinic. It could not exist without the tremendous public and private support with which it has been so richly blessed.
The mission of Wheeling Health Right is “To provide access to free comprehensive medical care preventive care and pharmaceuticals to the underserved. We embrace the philosophy that all are entitled to health maintenance and care.” There is re-dedication to the mission every day, when the clinic doors open, and patients are greeted with respect and compassion.
If you are in need of care, please call Wheeling Health Right’s clinic at 304-233-9323. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm. You can also visit their website at www.wheelinghealthright.com.
